Starting a business was never easy from the start, there are many obstacles that you got to go through with the shop you first open. A friend whom i have recently met again after losing contact for sometime, started a local street wear apparel which move from a single humble shop to chains of shops within 1 year and i was amazed at how he managed move from one shop to the next and open a chain of shop in a year span.
His idea was really simple, provide an affordable price for his street wears since it was open for teenages than the working society and dare to risk what he had on his hand. He took the chance and tried which made him a successful entrepreneur in less than a year. He was also lucky to meet another opportunist who taught him how to use his earnings to double the profits over a short span of time.
While his product and design is hot in the market of the teens, he took over shophouse that were for desperate rental and getting free lance graffiti to pimp up his shop, saving on his renovation expense and providing free apparel to youngster who helped him, his only spending came on the equipments needed to hold his street apparel, with almost 6 shops all around the island, every teenage who lives in any corner of the island knows of this brand.
What i learned from this friend of mine came as a valuable lesson. With a niche, you need people to help you sell your brand and how you are going to do that will depend on how you are going to action them. In blogging aspects, once i have a niche in place, i will work towards those goals that i have in mind.
The niche you choose is important. What is your new blog all about? Is it a new niche that is not covered by many or is it a saturated niche which require more than just luck to help to boost your blog repuatation and status. Does it have the x factor among the rest where you can stand out or are you just a average joe who is just lying low behind the more established blogger.
Selling a brand that makes you unique. Are you good at making application, wordpress themes, plugins or even create a simple ebook that teaches people how to use a particular program could make you stand out from the crowd.
Making friends through networking. Online friends i have made through social sites and also emails that have asked for helped all boost my name and brand of my blog. Joint Venture Projects starts from you making new friends online and this is how we help each other even when you and me are 2 world apart.
I remembered vividly how my friend expanded his business from a single shop to a chain empire of street wear apparel, the point i am driving across is if you have a niche blog and it could be further broken down, build another blog which could cover that topic with guest bloggers who are able to commit a weekly post on your new blog on the topic you intend to progress with. Do you already have multiple sites and blogs running under your hands?
