20 Sources of Excellent Stock Photos for a Productive Blog Post

Whenever i am making a very long post, i tend to use Flickr photos where i credit the user's photograph which are used in my blog post and i will continue to do so, as and when i find great photos that could fit my content. Recently i am heavily sourcing for stock photos that i can use for free or pay them a nominal fee since i have a number of website projects to complete.

Now everyone loves to have a unique list of stock photos which they can use with rights only to their website and this might require you to engage a photographer/Designer who can cater to your needs or else be one yourself.

Engage a photographer/designer
I am not ready to spend a bomb engaging a photographer/designer just to take a number of photos and they are unable to give you a large range of stock photo gallery which you can chose for your website to use.

Do it Yourself(D.I.Y)
Unless you are a professional photographer/designer and know what is sort of angle and focus needed to produce the photos you need then this idea of 'doing it yourself' will work well.

This is the reason why i firmly believe the internet is the coolest place to source for a wide range of stock photos which can be purchased for a small nominal fee and obtain rights to use them, there is also a group of photo community which allows you to use them for free.

Etienne's 20 List of Stock Photo Sites
The list might not be the biggest but it sure is the most reliable photo sites that i have found over time and used many of the photos which i have found to be suitable for websites and blogs. There are a list of photo site and community that requires a royalty fee and also some who do not require you to pay even a single cent and you can use them for free.

That's an impressive list. I myself use Stock.xchng when I'm looking for photos. On the odd occasion I have used yotophoto.

I usually keep $50 bucks in my istockphoto.com account and buy their pics at roughly $1 each as I need them... They have some awesome, dynamic stuff there.

That's a really good list. I also use stock xchang, but I also use fotolia.com

I often use Flickr and some photos which I take myself as the photos in my blog.

I don't normally pay for stock photos unless I need a large number of photos when I am working for a project that needs them.

Anyway, good resource for those who wanted a lot of photos for their blogging journey.

I enjoy creating my own images but time seems to get in the way so I end up buying most of my images now.

I use iStockPhotos but I am happy to have your list. I will look through them and see if I might join a couple more for variety.

thanks

It's all about free photos that i draw out from flickr and apparent the list is great, though credits are needed, you have an extensive list there. cheers!

Flickr photos are usually much better quality than the photos that you can find in google image searches.

Thanks for this list. I checked out the Freerange and must say that is one great place for pics. Never heard of them before...

Great list of stock photo sites. I only had half of them and bookmarked the rest.

iStockPhotos is a low cost alternative so is stockXpert and sXC.hu (free ) . In our website projects , we have also used photos.com , but their collection compared to their prices leaves much to be desired.
